This project studies the intersection of surfaces and their resultant impact to the circulation of the ground plane below it. This project comes after The Cave and is a continuation in formal logic. What differentiates this design is there being greater focus on movement across the site and its fluidity, rather than the creation of distinguishable spaces.
The design aims to find fluidity in movement as expressed by the fluidity in the form of its sheltering surfaces. The design is highly gestural and is driven by a certain experimentation towards a distinct yet unified aesthetic. The forms are discovered through shaping different passages along the site then negotiating their intersects through carving apertures and pathways beneath.
